Spring Break 2014!

picture of Animal Tales presenterMarch 24-28 is spring break for kids in Ashland, Columbia and Fulton. If you are looking for free, educational entertainment, there are activities going on at your library!

Ashland
  • Animal Underground: Thursday, March 27 at 9:30-10:15 a.m. or 11-11:45 a.m. There’s a whole world of animals thriving beneath our feet. Come learn about a few of them at this live animal program. Space is limited. (Separate session will be available for child care centers.) All ages. Registration required. Call 573-657-7378 to register.

Columbia
The lobby of the library will be closed this week. You’ll be able to enter through the Secret Garden gate at the far west end of the main parking lot.

  • Movies for Me: Tuesday, March 25 at 10-10:30 a.m. or 6-6:30 p.m. Enjoy 30 minutes of great story videos based on children’s literature. Showing this session: “The Librarian From the Black Lagoon” by Mike Thaler; “Click, Clack Moo, Cows That Type” by Doreen Cronin; and “Petunia” by Roger Duvoisin.
  • Animal Underground: Wednesday, March 26 at 10-10:45 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. or 4-4:45 p.m. or 6-6:45 p.m. There’s a whole world of animals thriving beneath our feet. Come learn about a few of them at this live animal program. Space is limited. (Separate session will be available for child care centers.) All ages.
  • Family Game Day: Friday, March 28 at 9:30-11 a.m. or 2-3:30 p.m. Drop by to play board games. We’ll have favorites, old and new, but feel free to bring your own games, too. For families with children of all ages.
Fulton
  • Messy TimeMonday, March 24 at 10-11 a.m. or 6-7 p.m. Dress for a mess and bring a towel. Ages 1-5.
